NewcastleGateshead’s biggest cultural charity and major conference centre has been rebranded as The Glasshouse International Centre for Music. Situated on the banks of the River Tyne, The Glasshouse was formerly known as Sage Gateshead.
It remains an independent venue and will sit alongside the planned new development of hotels, bars, restaurants, and venue which will be named Sage ICC, operated by ASM Global.
While The Glasshouse has a new name and brand, its commitment to great events remains at its heart. The organisation, celebrating its twentieth anniversary this upcoming December, has welcomed over 400,000 conference delegates and 4.7 million music fans in its first 20 years. Its success has contributed more than £500 million to the North East economy in its lifetime. From political party conferences to international associations, brand launches, and corporate events, the venue’s expert team continues producing the highest quality events.
As an independent organisation it works hard to achieve its charitable aims of supporting local communities, children and young people, emerging artists, and the music industry. Holding a conference or event here makes a direct and significant contribution to this valuable work. All commercial profits go back into the charity’s activity so your event will make a difference as well as a lasting impression.
