A new Malmaison hotel is set to open in Deansgate in spring this year. With 167 luxury rooms and 13 suites, this will be an ideal spot for both business trips and Manchester based events. The hotel will also feature five different event spaces, with the largest being able to seat 130 delegates. Also on offer is a range of private dining spaces, each with its own unique theme, such as The Boudoir.

Centre Parcs | Sherwood Forest
Center Parcs Conferences & Events recently reopened its doors for corporate bookings at Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, following an extensive £4.5 million refurbishment of its dedicated events space, named The Venue.
As part of its multi-million-pound refurbishment, The Venue boasts a major extension which includes four brand new meeting spaces ideal for smaller groups, and an event capacity of up to 550 delegates as a whole. Other additions include a new entrance and reception area overlooking the lake, as well as two outdoor terraces under the forest canopy. A significant investment in the AV and lighting systems also takes events at Sherwood Forest to the next level.

John Rylands Library | Manchester
Owned by the University of Manchester, Grade-I listed John Rylands Library, known for its Victorian Gothic architecture, will embark on a project to transform its exhibition spaces, delivering a refreshed main entrance along with enhanced academic facilities.
The library is approaching its 125th birthday and is working closely with conservation architects Donald Insall Associates and Nissen Richards Studio, who are developing the exciting exhibition proposals.

Platform | Glasgow
Events company, Camm & Hooper have bought and will be reopening Platform, an events venue ‘under the arches’ in Glasgow.
Featuring six beautifully restored arches across 35,000 sq. ft, Platform provides a flexible capacity for up to 600 seated guests across three arches or 1,800 standing guests. It has served as the backdrop for a variety of events, from intimate private gatherings to large-scale events, cementing itself as a crucial part of Glasgow’s community.

Edinburgh Arena | Edinburgh
AEG Europe, owner of iconic venue The O2, has announced plans for a major new investment in Edinburgh. The industry-leading promoter and venue operator is seeking planning approval for an 8,500-capacity arena in the heart of Edinburgh Park.
With unrivalled public transport and motorway access, including two tram stops within an easy walk, two mainline stations, plentiful bus connections and excellent motorway links, the site in west Edinburgh is extremely well positioned to become home to the new live entertainment venue.
One to keep an eye on, with expected to begin in early 2025 and the first live events taking to the stage in 2027.

The Riding School | Durham
As part of its ‘The Rising’ project, Raby Castle in Durham has unveiled a new event space, The Riding School, an 18th century architectural gem reimagined as a flexible 500 sq. metres of event space, retaining plenty of its individual character along the way.
The space holds a wealth of unique historical features, including textured walls, authentically irregular lines shaped by centuries of use, and solid timber beams, as well as modern luxuries like underfloor heating, subtle space dividers and a neutral colour palette so that you can truly make the space your own.
